Meditation allows us to experience a deep state of pure awareness. We can observe and focus our mind clearly on negative thoughts and emotions to let go of them. In this state our body positively responds by releasing more of the chemicals needed for health and wellbeing. Regular meditation practice increases our resistance and tolerance to the stress of modern day life.
Practicing mindfulness involves breathing methods, guided imagery, and other practices to relax the body and mind. Mindfulness helps us decrease stress, especially for people who have daily habits that perpetuate stress. With regular practice of breathing while being still and present in the moment we can focus on being aware of what we’re sensing and feeling, without interpretation or judgment and let go to accept what is.
